Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy governs your use of the "forDiabetes" mobile applications, available through Apple App Store and Google Play, the web application "https://go.fordiabetes.app" and website "https://fordiabetes.app" (collectively, the "forDiabetes Platform" or the "Application"), created by Tessera Multimedia S.A. ("Tessera", "we", "us", "our").
The forDiabetes Platform is a health tracking and management tool that allows users to record, organize, view, synchronize and optionally share health and wellness-related information. forDiabetes is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency response services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal data, including health-related information that you choose to enter or connect to the Application.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. In particular, this Privacy Policy describes:
- What personal data we collect and how we collect it
- How we use your personal data
- How we share your personal data
- How we keep your personal data secure
- Which are your privacy rights
- Data retention
- Children's privacy
- Changes to our privacy policy
- Contact information
What personal data we collect and how we collect it
Personal data you provide to us. The forDiabetes Platform collects data that you choose to provide through the Application user interface. Depending on how you use the Application, this may include your full name, email address, year of birth, country, profile preferences, goals, reminders, caregiver contact details, and health or wellness-related information such as:
- blood glucose measurements and related tags or notes
- blood pressure measurements and heart rate
- oxygen saturation
- body measurements such as weight, body fat, water percentage and muscle mass
- activities, distance, calories and exercise duration
- meals and nutrition information, including carbohydrates, protein, fat and calories
- medication records, including pills, injections, inhalers, drops, patches and topical treatments
- lab test values and related notes
- files, notes or other records that you choose to upload or enter
Some of this information may be considered sensitive personal data or health data under applicable law. We collect and process such data only to provide the features of the Application that you choose to use.
If you provide us with feedback or contact us by email, we will collect your name, email address and any other information that you include in your message in order to respond to you and provide support.
Personal data collected from other platforms. You may choose to sign up or log in to the forDiabetes Platform using a third-party identity provider such as Google, Apple or Facebook. When you use this option, we may receive information made available by that provider, depending on your account settings and permissions, such as:
- your first name
- your last name
- your email address
- your profile photo
Personal data collected from third-party apps and devices. The forDiabetes Platform may connect to third-party apps and devices, only when you choose to use those integrations and grant the required permissions. For example, you may import data from Google Health Connect or compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices such as supported glucometers. The information we collect depends on the permissions you grant and the data made available by those apps or devices.
forDiabetes use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Emergency SOS and location information. If you use the Emergency SOS feature, the Application may access your device location only when you choose to use that feature and grant location permission. The location is used only to prepare a message in your device’s messaging application. We do not store your location on our servers, and the Application does not automatically send an SMS or other message on your behalf. You must review and send the message yourself from your messaging application. Standard carrier or messaging charges may apply depending on your mobile provider and plan.
Google may require location-related permission in certain Bluetooth or device-connection scenarios on Android. If you do not use such device connection features, you may not be asked for that permission. Except as described above for the Emergency SOS feature, we do not collect or store your precise location on our servers.
Personal data collected via technology. We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our Application for security, operation and support purposes. This may include:
- Data collected by our servers. Our servers may collect technical information such as browser type, device type, operating system, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, app version, date/time stamps and similar system information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Application.
- Log files. As is true of most online services, we may store certain information in server logs, such as IP address, operating system, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, date/time stamp and similar diagnostic information.
- Cookies. Our website and web application may use cookies or similar technologies to support essential functionality such as authentication, session management, language preferences and security. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies unless this Privacy Policy is updated and the relevant notices are provided.

We do not use analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs in the current version of the Application.
Where required under applicable law, our legal bases for processing your personal data may include: your consent, performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Application.
How we share your personal data
We do not sell or rent your personal data, including health data, to third parties.
We may share personal data only in the following limited circumstances:

- in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements
If you use third-party sign-in providers, Health Connect, device integrations, app stores or payment providers, those third parties may separately process certain data under their own privacy policies and terms.
How we keep your personal data secure
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, damage, alteration or disclosure.
These measures may include encrypted transmission (for example, TLS/SSL), access controls, authentication safeguards, server security controls, backups and other security practices appropriate to the nature of the data that we process.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Which are your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, export, restrict, object to, or request deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, you may contact us using the details in the Contact information section below.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active, as long as needed to provide the Application to you, and as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
If you request deletion of your account or personal data, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information for a longer period. Data stored only locally on your device can also be removed by uninstalling the Application or deleting entries from within the Application, subject to your device and backup settings.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years old, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable local law, without appropriate authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us using the details below. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and, where appropriate, delete the data.
Changes to our privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice through the Application, by email, or by other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the Application after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Application and may request deletion of your account.
